You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
-Isaiah 26:3
Sharing an update from Peter:
I will be receiving my first chemo treatment on Tuesday, October 17 at 10:00 am. I have been told that it should last about five hours. After that, I will go home with a pump which will continue the infusion for two additional days. I will be repeating this cycle every two weeks.
As this is my first time receiving chemotherapy, I don’t know what to expect and have heard stories of varying difficulty from cancer survivors. In time, I hope to come to know this drill but will seek the Lord for strength to help get me through each round.
Here are some specific prayer requests to pray for Peter…
A. That Peter will be able to handle the medicines well with minimal discomfort and side effects.
B. The medicine will be highly effective and for progress to be seen in shrinking or abating the cancer.
C. Those who are caring for Peter during his treatment will be in excellent health and will remain strong during the journey ahead.
D. Peter’s clients will experience no / minimal disruption, and those assisting Peter in his absence will be encouraged in knowing their service is a direct ministry to Peter who is very grateful.
Praying for Gods comfort during your treatments and continued progress in your recovery.
Peter, I love you and how you can care for others I. The midst of your own trials. Lifting you and Bobby up as you go through your cancer journey with the Lord at your side every step of the way! He will be the one you can call out to in the middle of the night, when you’re alone or in pain or discomfort . Stay positive and physically strong for your immune ability to fight the cancer. Praying chemo went well today.. you are an inspiration. Let me know if I can cook anything for you. There’s not much else I’m able to do… oh-I’m available to talk to any time-and I do mean that. You can call to talk or text whenever you need to hear a voice. I may not be the wisest person but I’m willing to talk. I treasure the times we’ve had talks when we were serving in ministry together. Miss those times! Miss you more. Take care and I love you and am praying for you. Lorin Lew- I included my last name in case you know more than one Lorin!😁
