We wanted to share the great news that Peter started his clinical trial today! We are so thankful that Peter was able to complete the needed tests so quickly and was accepted into the program.
Also, we’re happy to share that he was chosen to receive the clinical trial drug! Praise God! This schedule will be weekly for the foreseeable future. Infusion is only for one day, and he will not be taking home an infusion pump as in the previous protocol. We hope that this second line chemotherapy will help to eliminate or stabilize Peter’s cancer.
Please join us in praying for the following…
Please pray for some of Peter’s friends who have had some recent challenges with their own cancers.
That Peter responds well to this new line of chemotherapy with few or manageable side effects, and that this chemotherapy attacks and either entirely eliminates or limits growth of the cancer in his body.
While he trusts God for the plans in his life, Peter still has a lot of free will in executing those plans. Pray for wisdom to faithfully steward his resources and choices.
Unexpected bump in the road…
Last Monday, Peter’s SUV died on a freeway off-ramp. The good news is that he was safe. Unfortunately, the high cost to repair it points toward replacing the vehicle, but there are complexities of replacing his car at this time. Please pray for him as he navigates those choices. Fortunately, a couple of friends generously offered temporary use of their cars, so Peter has a bit more time to decide.
Thanks so much for your support!
Praise God for His timing with the clinical trial! I will definitely keep praying.
