Thank you for your continued prayers and support for Peter. I am so grateful that he has a loving community surrounding him during this time. I wanted to share an update… upon receiving the results of the biopsy, Peter’s doctors recommended proceeding with chemotherapy next week which he is preparing for by having a port installed soon. This is a common procedure prior to chemo.
Ways You Can Pray:
…for Peter’s emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being as he continues to navigate the impact of this diagnosis and as he seeks through wisdom & discernment to make the best decisions for his care and treatment
…for a smooth procedure to install the port in his chest and for the ongoing care of it
…for the chemo to be powerfully effective against the cancer so that Peter will experience miraculous healing
…for strength for Peter’s body to manage side effects from his treatment and for protection over all of his internal organs
…that Peter would be a light and blessing to his doctors, nurses, and medical team, so they would experience Jesus through him
…for Peter to gracefully manage the many questions and offers of help from friends without feeling overwhelmed especially when not all answers are known or ready to be shared
…for God to be glorified through Peter’s life and that he would experience God’s grace and presence in an even deeper way during this time
We will provide additional updates as we are able, including more ways that you can support Peter. Thank you for your sensitivity in knowing that this is a challenging & busy time for Peter and an emotional one for all of us as his friends & family who love him. It’s best to share your encouragement to Peter by posting a comment on this blog.
We are so sorry that this horrible disease has come upon you. We are praying for you as you go through this treatment as well as your heart and faith. May God cover you mentally, spiritually and physically. He is the Great Healer and must trust Him for everything!! Larry and Frances
Hi Peter, I am so stunned and saddened at the news of your cancer, but heartened that you can confidently look forward to a heavenly eternity. I fondly remember our days of singing together in choir and appreciate the help and encouragement you provided me, as well as your sense of humor. I will certainly be praying for God’s goodness and grace to be upon you, and all to go well with your upcoming chemo and other procedures. I pray 2 Thessalonians 3:16 over you as well: ” Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way…” Bless you for your faith in and service to Him.
